 Mike Nelson Maths is pleased to announce the final 2024 webinars. We have two final ones on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th November. As with all our webinars, if you are not able to make the session at the set time, you enjoy 1 months access to the recording at no extra cost.

Webinar 1 - Tuesday 26th November 5:30-6:30pm AESTTeaching Addition Sequentially

Teaching Addition Sequentially is designed to help educators use research-based progressions to develop a deep understanding of the addition concepts and strategies from 1 digit all the way up to multi-digit equations and addition of decimals, whilst also providing students with procedural fluency. Perfect for classroom teachers, regardless of experience designing units of addition as well as leadership looking for a school-wide approach to addition. 

Within this webinar, we explore planning documents, assessments and rich tasks that you can add immediately into your classroom.

Webinar 2 - Wednesday 27th November 5:30-6:30pm AEST

With NAPLAN being moved to Term 1, it is important to hit the ground running. But this webinar is not about 'teaching to the test' or extensive practice assessments. Having spent 10 years analysing the questions on NAPLAN, this webinar develops educators' ability to help their students develop confidence and performance on NAPLAN. The skills developed in this webinar are transferable to other assessments, such as PAT and Essential Assessment for both educators and students alike.

Perfect for educators at all levels, not just those that teach Year 3 and Year 5. Learn how to create a school wide process for helping students prepare for the assessment.
